Warrendale Sales had one of the most sought-after broodmares at the Feb. 9-10 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed sale, with winning bidder Candyland Farm going to $250,000 to secure the stakes winner Best Present Ever.

Consigned as hip No. 546, the 5-year-old mare is by Unusual Heat out of the multiple stakes winner Centerofattention. Best Present Ever, who placed in the Grade 1 American Oaks at Hollywood Park, comes from the same family as the top handicap colt Lost Code.

Best Present Ever hit the board in 10 of 15 lifetime starts, earning $247,624. She will be bred to leading sire Malibu Moon in her first year as a broodmare.
